The injuries just keep coming for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Jordan Staal will miss tonight’s game against the New York Islanders with a lower body injury.

Staal only lasted 10 minutes in the team’s morning skate in long island before exiting the ice without an explanation. Josh Yohe of the Tribune Review (among many many others) reported that he had a lower body injury.

Veteran Jason Williams has been recalled and will take Staal’s spot in the lineup.

Staal joins Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, Zbynek Michalek, Ben Lovejoy, Brian Strait, Robert Bortuzzo, Dustin Jeffrey, and Richard Park as the injured Penguins.

There is some good news though. Deryk Engelland will return to the lineup tonight in the place of the injured Bortuzzo.

From what I have heard from Engelland in the media, he is far from 100% healthy but he is going to give it a go tonight.
