Biggest Game of the Year?
Including tonight’s game, the Pittsburgh Penguins have 14 regular season games remaining. The current first place team in the Atlantic Division, the New York Rangers, have one less.
The stage is set. Pittsburgh and New York in the Garden. The Penguins have gained ground on the Rangers throughout this current 9 game win streak. With only six points remaining between both of these clubs, tonight’s match might make-or-break the lead for the Atlantic Division.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, some guy named Sidney Crosby is coming back.
And he’s bring a friend, Kris Letang.
Letang’s other friend, Paul Martin, is also showing up.
And it’s worth mentioning, Lundqvist is likely to sit tonight with an illness. The Rangers are missing Ryan Callahan and Michael Del Zotto.
Reading the updates from this morning’s practice was like watching a weigh in between two heavyweight fighters.
The anticipated return of Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby is upon us, and he’ll be skating on the third line between Tyler Kennedy and Matt Cooke.
Evgeni Malkin and his almost superhuman line of James Neal and Chris Kunitz will remain intact.
