Career Projection |
| Zach Sill was kicked out of
the University of Maine in 06-07 for undisclosed reasons
after a very successful MJAHL career. In 07-08 he signed
with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, where he began his
junior career. In his two year stint there, he posted 50
points (27+23) and 173 PIM in 124 games played. The Penguins
saw something they liked in Sill, when they signed him to an
AHL deal in mid July this past offseason. This season, Sill
proved that he can play past the ECHL level (1+2, 15 PIM in
6 games with Wheeling). For the time being, he has earned
himself a spot on the Baby Pens fourth line where his main
role is to create energy and forecheck hard. Sill could play
himself into an NHL contract for next year if he continues
his recent success. His NHL potential is a fourth-line
banger. |
