Summary
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins pulled out a close one last night, as they put the Phantoms away by a final score of 6-4.

Aaron Boogaard starting things off by scoring his first career AHL goal, nearly three minutes into the contest.

Chris Minard would extend his goal scoring streak via the power play, where he put in his league-leading 26th of the season.

The Pens would surrender two powerplay goals within the last two minutes of the game, allowing the Phantoms to come within one goal of tying.

Ben Lovejoy sealed the deal with an empty netter goal with four seconds left in regulation. It was Lovejoy’s second goal of the game, and 6th of the season.

To add, Lovejoy now has 20 points in 32 AHL games so far this season. Not to mention a ridiculous plus-minus rating of +23. Peformances like such, should pencil him into the AHL All-Star Game.

Minard and Jeff Taffe should be there with him as well. Maybe even Janne Pesonen.

John Curry protected the net well for Wilkes-Barre, stopping 29 of the 33 shots that he faced.
