The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have defeated the Bridgeport Sound Tigers by a final series score of 4 games to 1.

Chris Minard, who’s scoring touch seemed to drop off a bit near the end of the regular season, got hot at the perfect time. In the playoffs. He scored 5 goals and 2 assist for 7 points, in 5 games. Two of his goals were overtime game winners!

Another key contributer to the success of the Baby Penguins is 5’7” feisty winger Jean-Michel Daoust. He also compiled 7 points (3+4) in the series against Bridgeport.

Center Jeff Taffe, too scored 7 points in the series (3+4).

Leading scorer Janne Pesonen only participated in one game in the series, due to injury. He had an assist.
