| Inside The Game |
| The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins travel to Binghamton to take on
the B-Sens for their first road game of the season. Mike Brodeur will likely start in goal for the Senators, with former Baby Pen Andy Chiodo backing him up from the bench. John Curry is expected to go in goal for the Pens, after another strong game a few nights ago against Bridgeport. To this point, the most impressive offensive prospect has been center Joe Vitale. He has made an impact in every game played so far this season with his speed, relentless penalty killing, and physical play. His career projection is a fourth line agitator. Back-up goaltender Adam Berkhoel is still doubtful with a knee injury. Mark Letestu has been removed from the IR and is probable to play in his first game of the young season tonight. Ben Lovejoy is expected back near the end of the month. Recently injured Eric Tangradi (shoulder) and Wade Brookbank (knee) will be out for about 2 weeks according to reports. This opens up the door for players who have been sitting as healthy scratches and moves players up the depth chart. Caputi will take over Tangradi’s top left wing slot, and it seems as if Jesse Boulerice will make his Penguins debut in the near future. Joey Haddad, Casey Pierro-Zabotel, and Alex Grant have all been assigned to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
