Caputi has been playing some strong hockey for most of this season but was not seeing results until recently.

His footspeed has been greatly improved this season and seems to be improving upon his rookie season in which he scored 18 G and 27 A.

He has scored 11 pts in 15 games this season, but up until last game, was on a 2 game goal scoring streak in which he had 4 pts in 2 games.

He seemed to find some success playing on a line with Wyatt Smith and Eric Tangradi.

One of the reasons for his early success is that he has been shooting the puck a lot more. Last season, he had 124 shots in 66 games, but he has nearly half of that total (53) in only 15 games this season.

However, due to the rash of injuries in Pittsburgh and Wilkes-Barre, he will need to step up even more, along with Tangradi and Jeffrey, for his team to have success. If he can do that, he may find himself in Pittsburgh sooner rather than later.
