Inside The Game

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins return to action tonight against the Albany River Rats.

Eric Tangradi will sit out tonight’s game due to an injury sustained in last week’s game against Hershey.

Casey Pierro-Zabotel, Joey Haddad, and Alex Grant who spent most of this year in Wheeling are called up to the AHL, and could all crack the line-up card tonight.

The Baby Pens continue their push in search to solidify a spot for the upcoming 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs. They currently sit in the 10th spot in the conference, 4 points out of a guaranteed playoff spot.

As evidenced in the past, the playoffs are a key role in developing prospects at a young age, as it creates a nearly NHL-like atmosphere for them, with increased intensity and speed.
