AHL Game 69 Preview: Springfield @ WB/S
7:05 at Mohegan Sun Arena
|Inside The Game|
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins face the Springfield Falcons tonight at home at 7:05.
With their most recent win over Norfolk, the Pens are currently in the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference. WB/S is only one point of jumping ahead of the Admirals for the third spot in the East Division.
Rookie Joey Haddad is turning some heads in his third stint in Wilkes-Barre, PA after spending most of the year developing in Wheeling. He plays a power forward style game, and owns arguably the best shot on the team. He assisted on Nick Johnson’s game winning goal last game.
Goalie Brad Thiessen looks to continue his strong rookie campaign as well, expecting to get the nod in net.
Eric Tangradi is considered questionable for tonight and tomorrow’s contests. He could be back in soon after. A recent tweet from Tangradi reads,
"Playoff hockey mentality for the baby pens from here on out….. Love it!"
Steve Wagner returned to the line-up last night and didn’t look out of place with his jaw injury covered by a face shield. The Baby Pens are 6-0-1 with him in the line-up.
The Pens are wearing their GO RED FRIDAY jerseys tonight to support local military members. You can do your part by purchasing a Go Red t-shirt at the arena team store. All proceeds go to the Tickets for Troops program.
