The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins have moved into third place in the East Divison, after shutting out the Norfolk Admirals tonight on the road, by a final score of 3-0. Brad Thiessen stopped all 31 shots he faced, and posted his third AHL shutout of the year (fourth total – 1 in ECHL with Wheeling).

After two scoreless periods, Chris Conner pulled out a huge highlight reel type goal, while shorthanded.

From there, the Pens caught fire and added tallies from Nick Johnson and Ben Lovejoy.

A lot of heat between these two games from their last meeting on St. Patrick’s Day, when Jesse Boulerice KO’d Juraij Simek and Mitch Fritz answered by punching Steve Wagner in his protective face shield. These two settle their feud, while Zach Sill gets into another spirited bout, and Tim Wallace throws down with Norfolk captain Ryan Craig.

The Baby Pens continue their road to the Calder Cup Friday, at the same place, against Norfolk again.
