Baby Pens face elimination tonight; Game 4

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are on the verge of elimination tonight, as they are trailing in the series by a big 3-0 deficit.

All three games have been lost by one goal, coming in the third period.

Plenty of criticism has been casted amongst the team, mostly due to their lack of veteran leadership. Captain Wyatt Smith has been on the ice for all three of the game-deciding goals and even was responsible for putting the most recent one in his own net.

Leading point-getter Dustin Jeffrey and leading goal scorer Tim Wallace have yet to find the scoresheet, and veteran D Chris Lee continues to struggle on both sides of the puck.

The powerplay is a miserable 1-for-13. If the Pens could have converted only a few more of their odd-man chances, this series could be completely different right now.

The Penguins have killed all 13 of Albany’s power plays.

Obviously, tonight is a must-win for the Baby Pens. Tonight is the last chance for someone to step up. Coach Todd Reirden has shuffled the lines.
