Playoff Game 4: Blackhawks 7 Canucks 2

Canucks lead the series 3-1.

Quick Recap

After a tied 1-1 first period, things were looking a little bit scary for the Hawks who face elimination with one more Vancouver win.

But the four unanswered goals in the second period, none on the power play, gave the Hawks a 5-1 lead that was too difficult for the Canucks to come back from.

The fight to stay alive continued in the third with two power play goals both from Patrick Sharp followed by the removal of Roberto Luongo, who has had a shutout in this series, and in came Cory Schneider.

The Canucks managed to score one more goal, but the Hawks stayed alive.

They meet again at another Chicago must-win in Vancouver, Thursday at 10 p.m.

Playoff Game 3: Sharks 6 Kings 5 OT

Sharks lead series 2-1

Quick Recap

The Kings take hold of the home ice advantage and nab a 3-0 lead in the first period. They wasted no time, scoring two goals just 13 seconds apart only two and half minutes into game play.

It doesn’t hold for long, however, as the Sharks rally back in the scoring explosion that was the second period. Which after three straight goals from San Jose and some trade offs, ended with both teams tied at 5.

The third period went scoreless and sent the teams into another overtime escapade, the second in the series thus far.

It wasn’t a long one though as Devin Setoguchi sinks it behind quick giving the Sharks the OT win and the 2-1 series lead.

They meet again, still in L.A. Thursday at 10:30 p.m.
