Western Conference Quarterfinals Recap - 4/20
Playoff Game 4: Ducks 6 Predators 3
Series tied 2-2.
As has been the standard in this series, scoring strikes early and often and power plays are well utilized.
Anaheim took an early lead by 5:14 in the first, which Nashville would answer and tie by 5:44 in the second off of a power play goal.
Ray Emery would go on to make 19 total saves in the game, but the Ducks and the Preds would find themselves tied at three by the end of the second period.
The Ducks flew into the second, gaining serious momentum from Perry’s short handed goal just a minute and seventeen seconds into the third. Things only went up from there, as Anaheim took a strong lead from which the Predators could not return.
Pekka Rinne was ousted in the third and replaced by Lindback, but nothing would help to change Nashville’s luck.
Nashville entered this game with a 2-1 series lead and on home ice, now they find the series tied at 2 and heading back to Anaheim. It’s anyone’s game as they meet again Friday at 10 p.m.

Playoff Game 4: Red Wings 6 vs. Coyotes 3
Red Wings win the series 4-0.
In a game that was tied at two at the end of the first, tied at three at the end of the second with a power play goal from each team, and then ended with Detroit the no questions-asked victor, The Wings swept the Coyotes.
Defeating them in the first round for the second year in a row, Detroit will move on to round two, having some time to rest as the other series unfold.
A close game until halfway through the third, Dan Cleary kicked off the escalation to the Wing’s win in Phoenix and left Coyotes fans afraid of the team’s next steps and financial situation.
The first to win their series, and to do so entirely without Henrik Zetterberg, the Wings are a team to fear. Game four was won with little resistance and also without another top scorer, Johan Franzen who was scratched today before face-off.
