In last night’s game between the Detroit Red Wings and the Vancouver Canucks, Niklas Kronwall lined up Ryan Kesler along the wall and laid a devastating hit on him.

What’s interesting here is that Kronwall turned before making the hit and struck Kesler backside first.

Upon review, it appears that Kronwall left his feet to make the hit. It wasn’t necessarily a shot to the head, either. There are a lot of gray areas here.
