First appearance ever in the Frozen Four. First time ever for a #4 to make it to the Frozen Four.

And the Notre Dame Fighting Irish aren’t done.

The Michigan Wolverines skated off of the Pepsi Center ice with stunned looks on their faces following a 5-4 OT loss Thursday night, a crushing defeat for the top team in the nation and a historical win for the Irish.

Notre Dame will play another surprise winner in the National Championship on Saturday at 5pm on ESPN.

Boston College destroyed the defense-oriented North Dakota Fighting Sioux behind Nathan Gerbe’s hat trick. The Eagles won 6-1 in the early game at the Pepsi Center, and the win will no doubt help propel the Eagles to try and win yet another national title.

Tune in tomorrow for more Frozen Four coverage from Faceoff Factor.
