Let’s Face It…
These things have been on my mind.
Let’s Face It…
These things have been on my mind.
Let’s Face It….

Let’s Face It…

Let’s Face It…

Let’s Face It…
...these things have been on my mind.
Let’s Face It…
...these things have been on my mind.
Why are players awarded a penalty shot as opposed to given the option for take the shot or take the power play? My thoughts on it inside…
Let’s Face It…
...these things have been on my mind.
Let’s Face It…
...these things have been on my mind.
The Penguins mount a 3 goal comeback in the 3rd but come up short in the shootout against the Blue Jackets.
Let’s Face It…
...these things have been on my mind.
Marc-Andre Fleury came up with a 1-0 shutout performance on a night when either team could have squeaked out two points.
The Pittsburgh Penguins simply gave away 2 points after being severely outplayed most of the game yet having a lead with 30 seconds to play.
The Pittsburgh Penguins exploded for 6 goals against the Rangers and run away with a win in their first game after the All-Star Break.
Detroit won game 6, the series, and the Stanley Cup.
Led by two goals from Sidney Crosby, The Pittsburgh Penguins made it a series by beating the Detroit Red Wings 3-2, pulling the games to 2-1 in favor of the Red Wings.
The Big Red Machine that is the Detroit Red Wings once again showed the Flightless Birds that are the Pittsburgh Penguins how to play hockey. They totally dominated the game yet again, allowing the newly constructed lines of the Pens absolutely nothing all night.
The Red Wings shut out the Penguins 4-0 to open the Stanley Cup Finals.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers Series Stats
After Pittsburgh Penguins forgot to board the plan to Philadelphia for game 4, they got exactly what they needed and more in game 5, blowing out the Flyers 6-0 to earn their 3rd Stanley Cup Finals appearance in franchise history.
The Pittsburgh Penguins once again squandered the chance to close out an opponent, and lost the game due to a horrendous first period against the New York Rangers Philadelphia Flyers.
The Pittsburgh Penguins put a stranglehold on the Philadelphia Flyers winning 4-1 and taking a 3-0 lead in the best of seven series.
The Pittsburgh Penguins extended their series lead 2-0 with goals from Sidney Crosby, Marian Hossa, Max Talbot, and Jordan Staal. The Flyers brought a much better game to Mellon Arena Sunday Night, but it was not enough to stifle a determined and skilled Penguins team.
Evgeni Malkin scored 2 goals, including a shorthanded tally to lead the Penguins to a 4-2 game 1 win over the Flyers.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs New York Rangers Series Stats
After blowing a 2-goal lead to start the 3rd period, as well as failing to convert on a powerplay to begin overtime, the Pittsburgh Penguins sealed the deal and are headed to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Penguins are shutout by the Rangers…The series is now at 3-1.
Max Talbot may have a broken foot; seen in a walking boot.
The Pittsburgh Penguins remained the only unbeaten team in the playoffs, beating the New York Rangers by a score of 5-3.
I constantly hear people calling out Marian Hossa. “He is a choker. He can not play in the playoffs. He is overpaid. He is going to command too much for his production. He is a Maid Marian.”
So I got to thinking.
After taking the back and forth, insanity filled contest of game 1 in the series, the Pittsburgh Penguins had the chance to take a 2-0 lead heading to New York, giving the Rangers something huge to think about. Before the drop of the puck the Penguins were the only team in the playoffs yet to lose a game, and thanks to great goaltending by Marc-Andre Fleury, a powerplay goal by Jordan Staal, and empty net goal by Adam Hall that’s also the way it ended.
The Penguins win a back and forth game 5-4 on a late powerplay goal. Take series lead 1-0.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs Ottawa Senators Series Stats
The Pittsburgh Penguins swept the Ottawa Senators in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, with a score of 3-1.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, and will look to close it out with a sweep tonight in game 4.
The Pittsburgh Penguins take a 3 games to 0 lead against the Ottawa Senators, winning 4-1. Goals by Talbot, Crosby, Staal, and Hossa. Marc-Andre Fleury stops 33 of 34 shots to hold off the Sens.
The Penguins needed 54 shots to down the Senators in game two. Take a 2-0 lead.
The Pittsburgh Penguins entered this game with something to prove. After last years horrible performance against this same Ottawa team, in this same first round the Penguins needed to come out, bang some bodies, take it to the Sens, and never let up. From the start of the game that is exactly what they did. They played a hardnosed playoff game, one that they couldn’t have played last year.
The Pittsburgh Penguins gave away the conference lead after never showing up to play against Philly.
The Penguins clinched the Atlantic Division title tonight with a hard fought 4-2 win against the Flyers. This is their first division title in 10 years and they have the ability to grab the Eastern Conference crown on Sunday.
