I wasn’t aware Ziggy Palffy was even playing hockey. Glad he’s still out there.

@Dabich, Palffy “retired” from hockey as a Penguin mid-season right after the lockout. He said he had some kind of shoulder injury. He took a break, but returned to a European league not long after. Not sure he’s the same player he once was.
This roster has some garbage on it. They lack goaltending, though Halak will make a decent starter; they have some strong offensive players, but then they have a guy in Satan who is a free agent; and they have some good defenders, but are utilizing Richard Lintner and Martin Strbak. Any team that is going to rely on these players is not going to be very deep.

Actually, I think Palffy is still very good. Here are his stats for the last two seasons:
2007-08(HK 36 Skalica,Slovakia): 30 goals, 45 assists, 75 points in 46 games.
2008-09(HK 36 Skalica,Slovakia): 52 goals, 47 assists, 99 points in 46 games.
Pretty impressing

Oops! For the 2008-2009 season, he did 99 points in 52 games, not 46.

@Pat, no doubt he remains a good hockey player. He’s always been very skilled and capable offensively. But 75 and 99 points in Slovak Extraliga is not the same as 75 or 99 in the NHL. Heck, it’s not even the same as the KHL. Even so, he’ll be a player to watch, for sure.

Going to be great to see palffy again, satan recently signed with the NHL. This team could do some serious damage.
