Nailers Re-sign Captain

The Pittsburgh Penguins ECHL affiliate the Wheeling Nailers have announced they have re-signed team captain Sean Collins.

The 24-year-old forward will be returning for his third season as a Nailer. During the 2006-2007 season Collins lead the team with 76 point in 57 games. Collins had 49 assists and three shorthanded goals.

Collins has had several brief stints in the AHL, which saw him record two assists in three games with the Philadelphia Phantoms and one assist in four games with the Worchester Sharks.

The returning forward also was named to the 2006 ECHL All-Star team as a starter and finished second in the 2006 ECHL Rookie of the Year voting. Collins was a two-time Hockey East champion with the University of New Hampshire.
