Dan Troutman had a great honor today.
The general manager of the Augusta Lynx led a press conference to unveil the team’s 10th anniversary logo.
The logo, designed by the team’s radio voice, Alex Kyrias, features a a unique feature that represents the team’s past, while focusing on the present and future.
“I think this logo represents 10 years of great tradition here in Augusta,” said Troutman. “We wanted to include our current Lynx logo, but at the same time really put an emphasis on 10 years, and I think that was accomplished without taking away from who we are and what the fans recognize.”
According to the team the red “X” represents the Roman numeral 10, and “adds an exciting new color to the already well-established Lynx logo.” There was a Lynx paw that was added to the logo to give it a bit more of an “edge”. At the top of the logo is where the phrase ‘A Decade of Hockey’ rests. This is to highlight the purpose of the logo that will be used during the upcoming season.

The Lynx are the ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup championship Anaheim Ducks and the Portland Pirates of the AHL.
