The Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL signed a tremendous forward, Chris Snavely, out of Michigan State on Thursday.
Snavely is 24-years-old and just helped the Spartans win the NCAA National Championship last season. From what Glenn Patrick, Head Coach, has said it seems like Snavely will have an important role this season. “We are counting on him to be a good puck control defenseman. We know he will play hard in our zone and make good decisions coming up ice with the puck.”
Snavely played 132 games with the Spartans in four years scoring 43 points (7+36) and having a total of 68 penalty minutes. Eleven of those (2+9) helped make Spartan history since they were scored during the championship hunt.
