Robert Morris University graduate Aaron Clarke has signed on with the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League. The 24-year-old forward played two years for the Colonials and finished last year with 36 points (11g, 25a, 35 games).

Clarke spent two years with Niagara University prior to transfering to Robert Morris. The Peterborough, Ontario native had combined numbers between the two schools of 27 goals, 36 assists, 63 points and 114 PIM in 95 games.

In a press release issued by the Nailers, Clarke commented on the deal: “Speed is my thing. I am not the biggest guy,” said the 5-9, 185lb forward. ““I can score but I am more of a guy to setup other guys and if I have to, I am not afraid to drop the gloves.”

Nailers coach Glenn Patrick commented: “He is the type of guy who might be a surprise in our league.”

Stay tuned to Faceoff Factor for more news on how the Nailers roster takes shape prior to the season opener on October 18th.
