    Well, Rajala and Panik make their appearances! The Pens going for them at 30 might be a slight reach, but I stand by my opinion that they need to take a shot at this type of player. Morin might be in the same category as well. Forgot about him…

    @Steve

    All three could be great picks. Especially Rajala.

    @Tom

    As I said yesterday, I hope the Penguins steer clear of Doherty. There are a lot of red flags in his game. His hockey IQ is really low and he doesn’t use his size to his advantage, in addition to taking numerous and unnecessary penalties. I think there are better options out there.

    Can’t see Dylan Olsen lasting to the 2nd rnd!

    He might even go mid-1st.

    I’d like to see the Pens nab Ben Hanowski in the 2nd if he lasts until then. Nice scoring compliment for SC87 or Malkin.

    Any info on the 3 different left wingers you guys see as the Pens 2nd Round pick? I know Shattuck produces some pretty good players there in Minnesota

    My guy, Haula, is just a very solid all around player. He works hard, skates fast, and has an excellent playmaking prowess.

    I’d be thrilled if the Pens could nab him.

    You can never have too many Finns on the team, so Haula for the win. Taylor Beck doesn’t sound that bad either.

    But unless one sits down with ranking lists and cross out names, or knows every ranked player by heart, the alternatives are unknown.

    I saw Haula when Shattuck came to Neville Island for the U-18 Nationals. He was pretty impressive and had two goals in the game I went to including a diving poke check goal from parallel to the goal line… hard to explain but it was pretty sweet.
