Montreal Canadiens vs. Buffalo Sabres

The Canadiens needed this win to reclaim first place in the Eastern Conference. They got the win with the help of Tomas Plekanec who scored twice in the closing minutes of the third period to force overtime.

The Devils got two goals from Johnny Oduya and two from Jamie Langenbrunner. Langenbrunner also scored the game winner in the shootout. The Devils needed the win to pull within four points of the Penguins for first place in the Atlantic Division.
