With the series in Detroit’s favor 2-0, the teams travel to Nashville for Game 3. The Red Wings know that they will be fighting against a desperate team. “The closer you get to closing a team out, a team gets more desperate,” Kris Draper told The Detroit News. “We have to be ready. They’re feeling like they did some good things over the two games here. We can’t get too content. Last year against Calgary we were up 2-0 and we were in control of the series, and the next thing you know, we have to win Game 6 in double overtime. That’s how quickly a series can turn.”

The Predators hoped for some good news, but they are still waiting to find out when David Legwand will return. He remains a game-time decision, but had a minor setback. “He skated four days in a row and (the foot) sort of flared up just a little bit,’‘ Predators Coach Barry Trotz told The Nashville Tennessean. “We’re just letting it settle it down a little bit.’‘

Nashville GM David Poile has been disappointed in the officiating in the series. “Just make the right call,” Poile said, according to NHL.com. “Between officials and supervisors, we can’t get the right call.” Poile also was disappointed in the officiating after Game One.

The Predators will have to hope for some bounces to go their way tonight. They do not want to fall behind 3-0 in the series. However, they know that they need to put more pressure on Dominik Hasek. “Being more aggressive around the net is the only way to beat a guy like Hasek and a team like Detroit,” Arnott said, reports The Nashville Tennessean.
