Ryan Clowe continued his hot play with a goal. Joe Thornton was the hero in this one, however. He scored with under ten seconds remaining to bring the series into a tie.

This was a highly defensive game. The goaltenders put on a show, but in the end Montreal got the victory. Carey Price and Tim Thomas each saved 27 shots. Unfortunately for Thomas, the Canadiens had 28 shots on goal. The series goes back to Montreal with the Canadiens one win away from taking the series.

Daniel Briere scored twice as the Flyers handled the Capitals all game. Alexander Ovechkin was kept in check for the second straight game. The win gives #6 Philadelphia the series lead over #3 Washington. Ovechkin had better show up next game if the Capitals want a chance at winning this series.

Joe Thornton finally showed up for the playoffs. It was good timing too. Jonathan Cheechoo scored the game tying goal with less than five minutes remaining, giving Thornton the opportunity to be the hero. Thornton did not disappoint, scoring with 9.4 seconds remaining.
