Pittsburgh Penguins 3 – Ottawa Senators 1
The Penguins completed the sweep of the Ottawa Senators and got revenge from last year’s playoffs. Malkin and Crosby both had goals in this game, but it was Jarkko Ruutu who netted the game winner. The Penguins got another solid effort from Marc-Andre Fleury who stopped 21 of 22 shots.

Scott Gomez netted two goals against his former team in this game. Patrick Elias had two goals for the Devils. Marc Staal scored the game winner with 3:13 left on the clock. The series will return to New Jersey with the Rangers leading 3-1.

Detroit Red Wings 2 – Nashville Predators 3
Nashville scored their third goal early in the second period, making it 3-1. The Red Wings promptly pulled Dominik Hasek in favor of Chris Osgood. Osgood kept the Predators off the board for the rest of the game, but the Red Wings could not figure Dan Ellis out. They fired 41 shots at him, but he stopped 39 of them.
