Philadelphia Flyers 6 – Montreal Canadiens 4
Montreal pulled into a 4-4 tie early in the third period, but Scotty Upshall scored with 3:04 left in the game and Mike Knuble added an insurance marker in the final minute to clinch the series for the Flyers. RJ Umberger scored twice for the Flyers who must now wait to find out who their opponent will be in the Eastern Conference Finals. Their opponents will either be the Pittsburgh Penguins or the New York Rangers. After being sat in favor of Jaroslav Halak for Game 4, Carey Price was back in the net for the Canadiens. He stopped 31 of the 36 shots that he faced. For the series, Price faced 104 shots, stopping 89 of them for an .855 save percentage. He allowed 15 goals in 3 2/3 games he played in the series (he was bench for the third period in Game 3 and all of Game 4). Using the statistics found at ESPN.com, I calculated Price to have had a 4.15 GAA in the series. That is staggering compared to his 2.56 during the regular season.
