New York Rangers 2 – Pittsburgh Penguins 3 OT
Penguins’ GM Ray Shero has got to be smiling. His deadline acquisitions have proved to be extremely beneficial to his team. Hal Gill has been a solid defensive defenseman and a difference maker to the Penguins penalty kill. Pascal Dupuis uses his speed and energy to get to pucks and feed them to his linemates, Sidney Crosby and Marian Hossa. Marian Hossa is averaging 1.11 points per game in this year’s playoffs after averaging .64 points per game in his previous post season career. That is nearly double the production. All three men are a +3 in the playoffs this season. In Game Five, Hossa scored the first goal of the game. The overtime game winner would also be scored by Hossa, with Dupuis notching an assist. Henriq Lundqvist made 37 saves for the Rangers but his offense could not provide him with enough support.

PITTSBURGH WINS SERIES 4-1

Three Stars
1 Hossa, PIT (2 G, 0 A, 2 P) *GW in OT
2 Malkin, PIT (1 G, 0 A, 1 P)
3 Lundqvist, NYR (37 saves)

Attendance: 17,132
