Panthers excited for Nathan Horton

The Panthers are excited about the maturity and experience that Nathan Horton brings to the Florida Panthers. Horton is closing on his 300th game as a Florida Panther and knows that the team and himself need to step up to bring the Panthers to the playoffs again.

“I need to do more,” Horton said last week as he prepared to begin the season as possibly the team’s No. 1 center. “The big thing is I can’t take nights off, and that comes from working hard.

“I feel like I’ve got a lot more to give.”
