General Manager Cliff Fletcher announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs has signed defenseman Luke Schenn to a three-year entry level deal.
“Luke’s got a bright future in the NHL and we are very excited to have him signed to a contract,” said Fletcher. “He had a great training camp during which he demonstrated a lot of poise and skill for a young defenceman.”
Claude Julien is ready for the season
The Bruins are preparing for Game 1 vs. the Colorado Avalanche, Claude Julien had to move some roster players to get down to 23 men.
“I would have liked to have kept some of the other guys as well, because, no matter what, they were deserving of being here,” said Julien. “At the same time, on the selfish end of it, the guys that have to clear waivers, you hope that they clear them, because that means they give you depth and you can see those guys back in your lineup.”
