A Look Into The NHL's Pre-season Schedule

The NHL has released the 107 game preseason schedule.

The preseason will start (similar to the regular season) on Sept. 13 with the Kings battling it out against the Ducks at 10 p.m. EST and will end on Sept. 30 with six teams showing what they have.

The Islanders will be at Boston starting at 4 p.m. EST. Ottawa will at Washington puck drops at 5 p.m. EST. Lastly for those in the west you will be able to see Chicago at Minnesota starting at 6 p.m. EST

According to the NHL website there will be some changes in venue for many different reasons. Since the new Prudential Center in Newark is not yet complete New Jersey will be hosting games in at there minor league affiliates’ homes.

On Sept. 17 the Devils will be hosting the Flyers at Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton. On Sept. 26 the Devils will battle against the Islanders at Paul E. Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Mass.

For more games outside of the NHL’s markets please go to the NHL website. Some NHL lovers might be surprised to see who is coming to a town near them in America and Europe.

Also please do not be confused about the NHL’s preseason and regular season schedules. The preseason for the majority of the league ends on Sept. 30. However, for the Ducks and the Kings it ends earlier.

These two teams will be starting there regular season schedules on Sept. 29 and 30. They will be playing in London, England at the O2 Arena both games are at noon EST. For the 28 remaining teams regular season will start on Oct. 3.
