Career Projection
D’Aversa was signed as a free agent after completing his junior years
with the Sudbury Wolves (OHL). After working his way up from the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers, he proven himself to be a solid defenseman with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL). With untapped offensive potential from the blueline, D’Aversa could be a sixth or seventh defenseman in the NHL one day.

Owns an underrated slap shot from the point…Tough to beat in one-on-one situations…Showing signs of improved physical game…Good at kicking the puck to his stick while maintaining possession…Has a knack for the shootout, good high wrist shot from in tight…Capable power play point man

Needs to become more reliable with the puck in his own defensive zone…As an offensive defenseman, needs to find a way to score more goals at the professional level…Limit turnovers…Take less minor penalties due to stick fouls (cross checking, slashing, hooking)
