The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is reporting that Gary Roberts is looking to return on Sunday. They say that it is “optimistic but realistic.” If Michel Therrien decides to play Roberts on Sunday, Tyler Kennedy may be scratched.
These were the lines at practice on Friday:
Talbot – Crosby – Hossa
Malone – Malkin – Sykora
Ruutu – Staal – Dupuis
Roberts – Hall – Laraque
The Trib is also reporting that Darryl Sydor has not been told whether he will return to the ice on Sunday. Sydor was a healthy scratch for Wednesday’s game against the Flyers. The lack of communication between Sydor and the staff likely means that he will be scratched on Sunday as well.

I’m thinking Sydor should play and Whitney should sit one out.
Then go from there.
It would be great to see The Hockey God back on the ice! While I don’t want to see Kennedy sit, someone has to!

Good point about Whitney sitting a game. It may get him hyped up to play better. Also, once the playoffs start, if Roberts is playing, Kennedy should be in, Laraque out.
I would like to see the playoff line-ups as follows:
Talbot – Crosby – Hossa
Malone – Malkin – Sykora
Dupuis – Staal – Kennedy
Roberts – Taffe – Ruutu
Orpik – Gonchar
Gill – Letang
Scuderi – Whitney
scratches: Hall, Beech, Sydor, Laraque
