It started with Blair Betts, who took a puck to the face.
It continued with Chris Drury, who missed the second period with an undisclosed injury that apparently has to do with one of his arms.
Then this morning, word broke that Max Talbot was wearing a walking cast because of a rumored broken foot suffered while blocking a shot.
This morning also brought news that Sean Avery will miss the rest of the playoffs while he recovers from a lacerated spleen that saw him spend most of last night in St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he remains in stable condition
The game now has claimed another victim, as the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is reporting that Rob Scuderi skipped this morning’s optional practice due to complications from a blocked shot during the second period.
There is no indication of what Scuderi’s injury is or how much time he will miss (if any).
