Traditional Playoff Lines To Return Tonight

Pittsburgh Sports Insider is reporting that the lines coach Michel Therrien is expected to use tonight are the same ones he has used throughout the playoffs.

They are…

Dupuis – Crosby – Hossa
Malone – Malkin – Sykora
Ruutu – Staal – Kennedy
Roberts – Talbot – Hall

Orpik – Gonchar
Sydor – Whitney
Scuderi – Gill

The only significant change is the addition of Darryl Sydor in place of Kris Letang.

Sydor, who has been a healthy scratch since the end of the regular season has been inserted with hopes of adding a veteran presence to the blueline.

There also is talk that Therrien could use Evgeni Malkin on Sidney Crosby’s wing from time to time with intentions of creating extra scoring opportunities.
