According to Yahoo Sports Sidney Crosby participated in the morning skate today and will play tonight against the St. Louis Blues.
After being hurt in Thursday’s 4-1 loss in Phoenix, Crosby was listed as day-to-day. He will return tonight, though.
Pascal Dupuis will not be as fortunate. The Penguins Team Website shows that Pascal Dupuis is on the Injured Reserve list. Janne Pesonen has taken his place on the roster. Which line Pesonen will play on has not been reported yet.

This is my hope for a forward line-up tonight.
Pesonen – Crosby – Kennedy
Staal – Malkin – Sykora
Satan – Talbot – Cooke
Fedotenko – Zigomanis – Godard
I realize that Fedotenko has been skating better recently, but I still do not see him as a top line guy. Satan should be on a top line, but he is struggling at even strength. Hopefully, he will get going on an energy line with Talbot and Cooke.

‘tenko is out of the lineup for tonight; yet another on the list of undisclosed injuries
I’m guessing our bottom six will look something like
Pesonen – Staal – Minard
Cooke – Zigomanis – Godard

S Miller – i’ve seen how well fedotenko has been playing, but i think he is more likely a third liner/borderline second liner. i also see satan as having a much better skill set than fedotenko. he can achieve without much effort what fedotenko has to work his butt off for.
daismog – thanks for the update. i also like the third line you put up. letting pesonen play with minard would give him some comfort since they were on a line together at WBS. I like Cooke on the energy line though. I’m going to do some poking around and see if i can find a line-up.

This is what I would like to see tonight. Has anybody notice how much different of a player Brooks Orpik has been since the playoffs started last season? Solid very solid.

This is what I found. Pesonen-Malkin-Sykora, this is the only confirmed line as of right now. Sydor is in, Eaton is out (healthy scratch).
Orpik – Letang
Gill – Scuderi
Sydor – Gogo
are the defensive pairings
Scuderi and Gill will serve as alternate captains for the month of November.

Orpik awesome tonight, Crosby??? Thought maybe hip pointer injury but would not have played this eve if said injury, what was injury? Pesonen worked hard from what I saw, I do have 8 year old learning to ride unicycle in my living room, sensei, what are your takes on lines this evening? I like Satan with Crosby.

Angela, I agree with everything you said, but would have liked to see a little more offensively from Pesonen. He looked better than advertised defensively though. Many thought that his defensive play would be his downfall. The Penguins have not disclosed Crosby’s injury (and will not if they stick to their new injury policy). Satan and Crosby looked good tonight. Satan definitely played better, controlling the puck more helped. I didn’t really like Pesonen on the 4th line at the end, though. Talbot with Crosby is great too, finally. The rest of the lines worked well too.
