1. Ron Francis v. 4. Marc-Andre Fleury – Fleury is fast approaching on the franchise record for wins by a goaltender. Francis centered some of the best offensive juggernauts in hockey history. Has Fleury done enough to erase the history that Francis laid out in the 1990’s?
2. Paul Coffey v. 6. Rick Tocchet – Tocchet upset Pronovost in the first round and has drawn an even tougher match-up. Can his toughness propel him past Paul Coffey to the elite 8?

Pronovost MUST win this
otw, the whole thing will just be: who is the most recent player to play for the Penguins
That certainly can be one assumption. The other may be that Tocchet added a dimension the Penguins had not seen in a long time (if ever): enforcer toughness with top-liner hands. He had a huge role in the second Stanley Cup.
Regardless, the voting is close, so I think no assumptions can be made.

As someone under the age of 30 I don’t feel qualified to vote in some of these brackets. Fran cis vs. Fleury? They both have played pivotal roles with the Pens
Miami, that’s the beauty of it. The way this tourney is set up, if you aren’t sure of a specific player, skip that competition. You still can vote for the other ones.
As for Fleury vs. Francis…VERY tough. Ronny Franchise was just amazing. Fleury, meanwhile is easily the team’s second best goalie ever, and has real potential to be the best ever. Tough, tough voting.
