If we keep out of the after whistle BS and put pucks on this rookie goalie for 60 minutes i just don’t see how it could go wrong. Gotta make the kid work and throw it at the net when we have the opportunity (see: game 6 vs. Flyers).

Yes, too much passing in tight and not enough pucks on net last game. 36 shots should have been 46 shots.

I totally agree. Don’t pass up the shots. This goes double for the PP and add crash the net. Doing this and playing the same way as Game 1, we can’t lose.

I agree with everyone. Varlamov was tested 36 times on Saturday. That’s a nice number, but many additional opportunities were missed due to over-passing.
The power play isn’t likely going to get much better, but if they put the puck on net more often, it certainly can’t hurt. Now, I’m not suggesting taking a shot every time the puck hits a player’s stick in the offensive zone. But when there’s a shooting lane, pepper it.
