Two words:
Must! Win!
To amplify, the Pens need to keep the pedal to the metal.

If the kind of mindset Joe Corvo apparently has is permeating Carolina’s locker room to a large extent, the potential is there for tonight to make Game 7 vs. the Caps look like a struggle.
That said, I expect the Canes to come out fired up. I’m sure the Pens will be ready for it though. If they can counter-attack off Carolina and get a goal or two lead at the end of 1 period, I think the Canes will begin to let the “here we go again” vibe creep into their heads and the good guys will win going away.
Let’s Go Pens!

Awesome game, not because of anything other than the Flower. He played great, stopping shots when he was needed to most. I think this team is ready for whoever comes out of the west.

I just can’t see the Penguins losing to the Red Wings again. This team is determined.

The Pens look even more focused than this past year’s Steelers, IMO. Whether that will remain so is still to be determined.
I think if it is the Wings, it will be a much more competitive series than last years. I highly doubt a repeat of last year’s first 2 games in Detroit.
