Last night — Game Seven eve — I could not sleep.

I kept replaying last year’s loss, seeing the Red Wings with the Cup.

I kept imagining the Pens skating with it. I kept imagining the Red Wings with it.

Hossa with it…

Crosby with it…

Geno with it…

Zetterberg with it…

Orpik with it…

Datsuyk with it…

Gronk, Gonch, and Guerin with it…

Holmstrom, Helm and Hudler with it…

We’ve come so far…again.

To lose it, again, would be all that more painful.

To win it this time, would be all that more special.

This will be the most tense, nerve-wracking, joyous, heart-breaking game in all of professional sports. Every shift means something. Blood sweat and tears will be shed in pursuit of Lord Stanley. Who wants it more?

Who wants it more?

I keep asking myself that same question over and over again.

I know my answer.

But I keep thinking about everything that could go right or wrong, the joy or heartache I will be feeling tomorrow, and the relief or frustration of seeing the Cup lifted.

I didn’t sleep a wink.

    I have watched the Believe video at least 12 times today. Fridays usually drag on forever but this one is 100 times worse. I just want to see that puck drop and these guys go at it.
