    I keep hoping Bourque will get into the lineup in favor of Dupuis, but it just isn’t happening. Of course, it must be on merit and if Bourque hasn’t earned it in practice, so be it.

    Former Pen Mike Zigomanis is on a 25-gm PTO with the Toronto Marlies. He’s played two games and logged four assists. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a deal and ends up playing for the Leafs. They’re awful and could use the help…

    Tuomo Ruutu absolutely crushed Darcy Tucker with a hit into the boards from behind. Tucker had dropped off the puck and the check was late, not obscenely late, but late enough and definitely from behind. Tucker was out cold after the impact and on the ice for a solid five minutes. Ruutu will most likely get a couple games for that hit. That said, it’s tough to feel bad for Tucker for just about anything that happens. He’s been dirty for years.
