Stone, Lannon Recalled From AHL

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced just minutes ago that forward Ryan Stone and defenseman Ryan Lannon have been recalled from the team’s AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

It is believed both players have been recalled as reserves for the Penguins upcoming road trip, which has two stops in Florida and another in Atlanta.

This will be the first NHL appearance for both young players.

Lannon, a defensive defenseman, stands 6’1 and weighs 198 pounds. At age 25, he is in his third AHL season. He has two goals, seven assists, a plus-six rating and 21 penalty minutes in 35 games this season.

Stone, who is known for his gritty play, is listed at 6’2, 207 pounds. He is 22-years-old and playing in his third AHL season with the “Baby” Penguins. This year he has seven goals and 19 assists in 35 games. He also has a minus-2 rating and has tallied 69 penalty minutes.
