Inside The Game
Jordan Staal had his best offensive game of the year Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Ty Conklin simply did more of the same.  Now, tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins will look to make it nine in a row and continue to get key performances from unexpected sources.

The Atlanta Thrashers haven’t exactly been the model team this year, despite having some world-class players in Illya Kovalchuk and Marian Hossa.  Like the Lightning, though, they have the ability to win any game they play simply because of their offensive dynamite.

As was the case Thursday night, tonight’s game should be a relatively-close game for the most part.  With that being said, I have no interest in predicting the final outcome as the team has done quite well since I eliminated that portion of the game day notes (upon nudging from Mike Adams).

Don’t expect a game recap tonight, though I may put some stats up in the morning…
