The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins take on the Portland Pirates in game 6 tonight at home. The Pens are trailing in the series 3-2, so this is a must win game for them.
RW Jonathan Filewich despite his disappointing regular season totals, has played great in the playoffs since returning from injury. Filewich tallied the only goal for the Pens in game 5.
The Pens are still missing the toughness in the line-up with an exception to D Deryk Engelland and wingers Tim Wallace and Ryan Stone. LW Paul Bissonnette is still feeling from a foot/leg related injury, and RW Dennis Bonvie has been a healthy scratch since last series.
Tonight at 7:05, the Penguins take on the Portland Pirates at home for the first time since game 2.
Besides playing the last 3 games away, the Pens main scorers have not been hitting the scoresheet. Leading scorer F Tim Brent hasn’t found the scoresheet in 3 games, and LW Chris Minard hasn’t recorded a single point this entire series.
G Mike McKenna will start in net for the Pirates again, and G John Curry will start in net for the Penguins tonight. If Curry can pull out one of his huge one-goal or shutout games, things should be looking up instead of down after tonight.
To sum up, if the Pens lose tonight, they go home, and if they win they play game 7 on Saturday. Good luck, Pens.
