Summary

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins come back from a 3-goal deficit, with elimination on the line, and win in overtime, to force a game 7 tomorrow.

The Pirates took a 3-0 lead on the Penguins in the 2nd period.

At 19:48, F Connor James took a great pass from D Alex Goligoski and scored his 6th goal of the playoffs to make it 3-1.

The 3rd period was all Penguins as they kept their season alive, and would not go away.

2:55 into the 3rd period, LW Chris Minard blasted yet another slap shot through the wickets of goaltender Mike McKenna to earn his 9th goal of the postseason.

Then, at 14:17, Minard put a snap shot past the goalie to tie the game at 3, and mount a successful comeback.

The Pens would take game 6 into overtime with a loud Wachovia Arena crowd backing them up.

It only took 20 seconds for speedy Connor James to blow past the defense of the Pirates and roof the overtime winning goal.

The Pens would not take no for an answer, and they have forced a game 7, which will take place tomorrow at 7:05pm, at home.

G John Curry picked played outstanding and took the win while making 24 saves on 27 shots faced.

Great character showed by the Baby Penguins tonight. All heart.
