The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins have added two depth players to the mix for next season. Today, it was announced that they have signed forward Adam Henrich and defenseman T.J. Kemp to one-year contracts.

Kemp is known as an offensive defenseman, who scored 46 points in 73 games last season for the Springfield Falcons.

Henrich is known for his power forward ability and grit. Henrich scored 51 points total between the AHL and ECHL last year, and posted 122 penalty mintues. Henrich also has been known to drop his gloves from time to time, as we saw him fight Paul Bissonnette the previous season.

These are two solid signings from assistant general manager Chuck Fletcher.

Two players departed from the Penguins minor league system so far. F Kurtis McLean was signed to a two-way deal with the New York Islanders, and last year’s captain C Nathan Smith signed with the Colorado Avalanche.

D Ben Lovejoy signed a two-year entry level contract.

T.J Kemp is a great pick up. Former Mercyhurst player.
