The Penguin’s Powerplay Units Already Need Fixed

I know what you’re thinking, the Penguins haven’t even laced up the skates for their first game of the season tonight’s tilt against the Anaheim Ducks, so how can I bemoan the powerplay units without giving them a chance. Simply put, the units, as designed are set-up for poor performance, especially by the standards of what is debatably the most talented powerplay in the league.

Although Zolnierczyk was a Restricted Free-Agent, the Penguins re-signed him to a one-year, two-way deal worth $550,000, making Penguins fans scratch their head and wonder, “what in the world is Shero thinking?”
