I’d love to see some humor thrown in here, it would lighten up some of the hard-butts who post here ;)

I know everyone posts audio and video nowadays, but it would be nice to be able to get transcripts of the Shero press conferences, player interviews, conference calls with players, etc.

Dabich, humor is something we definitely have tried to incorporate through some of our current writers — Mike Adams and Mike Wilson to be specific. So that’s definitely on our radar to expand upon.
Pens, solid idea, though, at this point, we’ve been unsuccessful in our attempts to secure the rights to A) obtain transcripts and conference calls, and to B) reproduce them. We’ll continue to work on it, though, as I think it would be an important addition.

Matt & Staff, I personally would like to see a link on each story posted to the homepage where we can click to go straight to the bottom of the article and the comments. This way if we are conversing it would take us straight to the conversation faster. It is a small thing and my only suggestion because you guys are doing a great job! Keep it up!

I would like to see Otter-tracking come back. Being from Erie, its good to read what others think about the Otters, no matter how bad they may be.

Justin, interesting idea that should be relatively easy to implement. We’ll look into it, for sure!
Brandon, I’m working on Otter tracking, and have been since your last comment. No guarantees — but I’m trying!
Thanks fellas!

I think adding more content on the European Leagues would be beneficial. Perhaps the rising profile of the Continental League is the highlight, but as we’re noting with Poesnen et al., it is beneficial to learn more about the major leagues of Europe as well. I recognize that coverage will likely be at a distance and depend primarily on media reports from the region, but I think it would be a great addition.
I think additional content regarding the business aspects of Hockey would be great as well. I think a regular piece on major hockey business would serve to further broaden the already expansive coverage (current and anticipated) for Faceoff Factor.

If we expand to European coverage, I’d venture to guess we’ll bring aboard someone from overseas with firsthand knowledge of at least one of the major leagues over there. It’s something we’ve tossed around a lot, and something I, personally, want to see more of.
Business also is solid, as the CBA alone could provide the foundation for a weekly column — and that’s not even toughing merchandise sales, team ownership changes, revenues, attendance, lawsuits, etc.
Thanks for the thoughtful insight, Moncalvo!

Guys,
I’m in the process of working on bringing back the Otter Tracking series. I think we’re going to make this a collaborative effort for this coming season.

Matt it is really awesome to see you guys expanding. Clearly this site has grown from one I started reading last season, Congrats! For me any coverage of prospects from Europe Canada and US would be exceptional. I go to Hockey Futures sometimes, but I like the no nonsense approach of this site.
