Quite often, hockey takes up so much of our lives and emotions — both good and bad — that we forget that it’s just a game.

Players become heroes.

Games are considered “do or die.”

In the grand scheme of things, it’s nothing more than entertainment.

Today, we honor those veterans, both retired and active, who represent the harsh reality of the world we live in.

These are the men and women who put it all on the line in real life “do or die” situations.

These are the real life heroes.

On behalf of the entire FF community, I want to give my heart-felt thank you to all of the brave, courageous, and selfless men and women who have put their lives on the line, and, in many cases, sacrificed their lives, for the betterment of this wonderful country.

This may be just one day where you are recognized, but remember that you are thought about and prayed for every day of the year.
