Western Conference Quarterfinals Recap - 4/18
Playoff Game 3: Red Wings 4 vs. Coyotes 2
Red Wings lead the series 3-0.
Score early, score fast. The Wings did just that, getting in a goal within the first three minutes of each period.
It started off with Ruslan Salei and Drew Miller scoring less than a minute apart and helping Detroit to catch a lead they would never give up.
The Coyotes have been making use of their Power Play chances scoring twice on the PP tonight, but falling to the Wings 4-2 in Phoenix.
The change of location, however, did little to change the Wings momentum who have a chance of sweeping for the series win Wednesday at 10:30p.m.
Phoenix will have that home ice advantage and will need to do everything in their power to stay alive.
Note: Detroit has scored exactly 4 goals in each of the three games of this series thus far. Also 4-2 was the final score tonight for the Philadelphia-Buffalo game and the Montreal-Boston game. Those must be tonight’s magic playoff numbers.
